
Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Chelsey Carrington is a psychologist who specializes in working with children and adolescents with various academic, social, learning, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Carrington provides diagnostic evaluations including comprehensive psychoeducation evaluations as well as intervention and therapy services. She uses a strengths-based, collaborative, and cognitive-behavioral approach with children and their families in order to help achieve each individual’s and family’s goals. Dr. Carrington strongly believes in collaboration between all systems in which children develop. Her unique background in school psychology and practice within various settings including schools, residential treatment facilities, healthcare, private practice, and the juvenile justice system provides a strong foundation for working across and within many systems.
Dr. Carrington completed her internship training at the Tennessee Internship Consortium in Knoxville, Tennessee. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Resource Group under the mentorship and supervision of Dr. Julie Steck, co-founder of CRG.
