Currently, we recognize that individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders have a developmental disorder with likely comorbid mental health disorders. It is important that families and mental health providers recognize the need for providing comprehensive evaluation, social support, psychological services, and recommendations for assisting in the successful transition from high school to adult life.
