Our recent Winter newsletter on Nonverbal Learning Disabilities (NVLD) attracted a lot of interest. Many questions remain about this particular type of learning disorder, including common symptoms, diagnostic procedures, and educational interventions. Three of CRG’s providers who contributed articles to the newsletter will be conducting a free webinar about NVLD on Friday, April 26th (noon to 1:00 EST). Participation qualifies relevant professionals for 1 hour of Category II Continuing Education credit. However, the webinar is open to parents and other individuals with an interest in this topic, too. Unlocking the Mystery of Nonverbal Learning Disorder will be presented by Drs. Dennis Ray Kinder, Jillian Wise, and Julie Steck. Learning outcomes include:
- Identify common strengths and deficits in individuals with NVLD
- Describe the impact of NVLD during different developmental periods
- List three conditions that commonly co-exist with NVLD
- Identify three forms of intervention that may be helpful for individuals with NVLD
