CRG’s Dr. Joshua Lowinsky, in partnership with Dr. Kim Gatzimos/Witham Health Services and Community Health Network, has created a foundation to enhance the ability of primary care physicians, nurses, and other health care workers to assess and treat people with mental health issues in their offices. The Primary Care Psychiatry Foundation (PCPF) sponsors quarterly conferences to help health care professionals learn about evidence-based practices from dynamic speakers in a relaxed setting. The PCPF conferences include healthy refreshment breaks, important networking opportunities, and information from exhibitors.
The PCPF’s third conference, “Gray Matters,” takes place on Saturday, February 9, 2013. This half-day event (7:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.) takes place at Indiana Wesleyan University’s Conference Center North (3777 Priority Way SouthDrive, Indianapolis, IN 46240). This conference will focus on evidence-based treatment for patients with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Delirium. CME’s available: 4.75 AMS PRA Category 1 Credits.
