CRG Providers Out and About

Dr. Joshua Lowinsky (CRG Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist) will once again teach his popular course on mental health issues at the Christian Theological Seminary this spring: Psychopathology and Assessment. This entails training current and future mental health providers to enhance their ability to recognize, accurately diagnose, and treat individuals with a variety of mental health issues. Guest speakers will include CRG psychologists Dr. Julie Steck (“Neurodevelopmental Disorders”) and Dr. Dana Lasek (“Personality Disorders”). In addition, Dr. Lowinsky will continue his popular lectures around the globe for Medical Education Resources’ (MER) Primary Care Conferences. Dr. Lowinsky’s current topics include “The Complexity of Adult ADHD,” “Antidepressants Don’t Work, Doc,” “I Just Drink a Few Beers at Night,” and “Suicide and Violence.” These professional development events for physicians and other healthcare providers will take place in Vail, CO in February; Hong Kong in March, and Key West, FL in May. Dr. Lowinsky also looks forward to presenting a lecture entitled “Identification of Psychiatric Disorders and Evidence-Based Prescribing of Psychotropic Medications in Youth” at the School-Based Health Alliance 2018 National Conference on June 25th here in Indianapolis.

CRG’s Speaker’s Bureau helps schools, colleges, community agencies and other organizations learn more about children, teens, and adults with disabilities and/or behavioral health issues such as depression and anxiety. Most of our providers are available to give talks and/or conduct trainings on a wide range of topics. We work with you to customize a presentation that combines research-based knowledge with practical strategies and applications. As you plan your group’s professional development events for the year ahead, we invite you to contact Dr. David Parker to discuss your needs.
